“Wuthering Waves” Apologizes to Japanese Players for Personal Information Leak
The recently launched game "Wuthering Waves" has been beset by a series of issues. Recently, due to errors in the Japanese text, the game's developer, Kuro Games, sent an apology email to affected Japanese players. However, due to a mishap at work, the emails were sent in bulk, resulting in the email addresses of hundreds of Japanese players being leaked.
Subsequently, Kuro Games issued another apology and offered compensation in the form of a 10,000 yen Amazon gift card to the affected Japanese players. This gesture appears to have satisfied the Japanese players, with some even expressing envy.
However, on Chinese player forums, dissatisfaction predominates. Some players jokingly referred to this incident as the "Treaty of Shimonoseki" of the video game world.
Adding to the drama, a similar incident occurred the next day at the Japanese Supreme Court. The court sent an email to a group of trainee lawyers, inadvertently leaking the email addresses of all recipients. Currently, the Japanese Supreme Court's solution is to apologize and request the recipients to delete the email.
