Headline: Fun fact: Bob Woodward was accepted to Harvard Law School, but declined to attend. He instead applied for a job as a reporter for The Washington Post. The Post gave him an unpaid two-week trial internship but ultimately did not hire him because of his lack of journalistic experience.

Headline: In 1988, Father Gregory Boyle started what would eventually become Homeboy Industries. In an effort to address the escalating problems and unmet needs of gang-involved youth, Father Boyle and the community developed positive alternatives, including establishing an elementary school, a daycare program and finding legitimate employment for young people, as well as providing critical services to thousands of men and women who walk through their doors every year seeking a better life. Most importantly, it provided the opportunity for rival gang members to work side by side.🤝
