If selling products using Facebook Ads is difficult, why not leverage free traffic from the marketplaces instead? It’s because more people want to use Facebook Ads to promote their products. When more people want to show their ads to the same audience, the overall cost will increase naturally. The bad news is that it will never decrease. It will become more difficult, year after year. (Don’t get me wrong. Paid traffic still works, and it remains the traffic source I like the most. You just have to adapt and learn how to deal with it.) Anyway, three years ago, I knew about selling print-on-demand products on marketplaces such as Amazon or Etsy. If you’re unfamiliar with the print-on-demand business, just think about t-shirts or coffee mugs. In POD, we create designs to put on these kinds of products, and sell them. But we don’t have to make products ourselves. Many suppliers in the US make and ship the products for you. You just have to do the design and marketing work. I’ve found that it’s possible to sell these kinds of products on marketplaces such as Amazon or Etsy. The interesting part is that we can leverage organic traffic from the marketplaces to sell our products. We don’t have to spend money on paid
