"Felix, I can't do it anymore... please..."\n"Don’t go. I’m not finished, bade..."\nAnd they went for another round yet again. Eudora George suppressed the urge to vomit and turned off the surveillance camera.\nThat was her husband, Felix Meyer. They had been married for three years but he never once touched her. He'd rather indulge himself in alcohol and women outside.\nThere was a knock on the door. Her husband’s mother, Laura Westin, shouted from outside, "Why are you hiding in the room again? Are you rebelling because Felix is not home? You’ve been married for three years and you can't even bear him a child. Come out and cook now! Do you want to starve me to death? "\n'Heh, it takes two hands to clap. Giving birth to a child isn't something that I can do alone. Am I supposed to reproduce on my own?' Eudora thought.\nEudora suppressed her nauseated feeling and opened the door and headed to the kitchen.\nEver since she married into the Meyer family, her life had been nothing but a living hell. She gave up her independence and the opportunity to build her career. She gave up everything she had. She thought that as long as she tried hard enough, she would win Felix's heart. It seemed that despite giving her all, the only thing she earned was his family's growing hatred towards her.\nWho would care about the sadness in her heart?\n"Ah! Eudora, are you crazy? I asked you to cook! Instead, you are mixing your blood with the dishes! Are you trying to disgust me to death?"\nShe heard Laura’s nagging and realized that she had just cut her finger. But she didn't feel any pain at all.\nShe looked at the bright red blood dripping from her finger, and then at Laura's disgusted look, she suddenly screamed in desperation. She felt so wronged.\n......\nIt was late at night.\nEudora walked along the narrow and deserted street with a numb expression on her face, but there was a feeling of relief in her heart.\nShe had unknowingly wandered to the ghettos in Rosaville City. The bell rang loudly as everyone scattered across the hallway. When the chitter-chatter and the gossips began, everyone knew it was breaktime in Eastcrow High School. I passed through the group of girls talking about one of our professors—he newly joined and every single one of them were on him, attacking him through words. Most of the girls in my school loved old men for some absurd reason and the school continued to hire them—handsome and old. Everyone had some kind of taste and so did I, however, it was less ridiculous compared to the other girls—just a little desire burning inside me since I started reading certain, naughty books. "I would spread my legs for him," one of the girls said as I walked past her. Another one of them moaned out loudly at the thought of our new professor. "Mhm, Mr. Malcum, daddy." Thankfully, Mr. Malcolm wasn't anywhere around the hallways as it was break or he'd probably get a stroke out of what the girls were saying. As they continued, I threw my books inside the locker and slammed it close. It had been just a few hours studying and I already felt exhausted. Once I closed my locker, I decided to head towards the cafeteria and buy my self lunch as my Mom forgot to pack some. Just as I turned around, I came to face to face with Scott—our high school bad boy. "Going somewhere?" he questioned as he leaned closer. His pack of boys stood in front of me with a grin plastered on their faces. They all were tall, handsome and violent in one way or another. The leader of the pack was Scott—he trained them all to be bullies—specifically, my bullies. Ever since I joined Eastcrow High School, all hell went loose. No one ever accepted me for some reason. The girls scurried away from me like I was a serial killer and the boys didn't even dare to glance at me. Whenever I walked past any of them, they'd whisper and look at me with disgust lingering in their eyes. I had no idea what I had done. I wasn't that ugly. The sudden change in lifestyle bought down my self-esteem and I always wondered w

That day at work, Rose deliberately arranged a lot of work for Emily, so that she would have to work overtime in the company. By the time Emily had finished her work, it was almost 9 PM. When she got out to leave the company, she found that everyone had already gone home, and she was the only one left in the office. She packed up her items and was about to leave, when she noticed that the door of the office seemed to have been locked from the outside. Emily had no doubt in her mind that Rose was behind this. She was confused and lost in her thoughts when she suddenly heard a 'pop'. Soon after, the lights in the office had gone off and all of a sudden the entire office was shrouded in darkness. Emily's complexion turned pale. She was beginning to feel claustrophobic and the dark atmosphere reminded her of the traumatic experiences of being kidnapped, she suffered, when she was just a child. In fact, Rose was well aware of this fact as they had been friends for so long. It was too dark in the office to see anything. Emily calmed herself down, fumbled in her bag for the phone and then clicked on the address book. She tentatively called a few colleagues for help; they all answered her in a few perfunctory words before hanging up quickly, as if they had come up the excuses together. Rose's involvement in the matter was obvious. Emily didn't have many friends; to make matters worse, whatever friends she had, were living in other places. Emily hesitated for a moment before deciding to call Jack. At the very least, she had hoped that he would help her for old time's sake. Unfortunately, all her hopes were in vain as Rose answered Jack's phone. On the other side of the call, Rose made noise enticingly. She figured Rose meant to provoke her and show off her intimacy with Jack. She could also hear Jack vaguely, panting in the background. Nauseated by the noise, Emily couldn't help retching in disgust before hanging up quickly. She realized it was silly of her to call Jack for help. After a brie
