I still can’t believe what started out as a short term goal to lose fat and put on muscle was shortly transformed into my life’s passion.. My names Branden.. and a couple years ago I found myself working 10 hours a day at a mattress store, bored to death which lead me to constantly stuffing my face with things like pizza, subs, and any other junk food I could get my hands on to solve my boredom issue.. especially Chipotle.. I loooved Chipotle. “Unfortunately I wasn’t making enough at the time for extra guac”. During the process I hadn’t realized it but I was definitely putting on more weight through the comfort food and it wasn’t until one day I was looking back at photos from LITERALLY 6 months prior and was shocked. I don’t know if you can relate.. but it was a similar feeling as to being “confused, lost, and where did the time even go?” All at the same time.. I weighed myself for the first time and I had gained over 20 pounds.. and I can assure you it wasn’t muscle mass... I quickly realized I needed to change my habits before things progressed.. I was looking into all sorts of different workout programs, gyms, home exercises etc.. but nothing really stood out to me as something I would enjoy and stick with. Because let’s face it, if it’s boring none of us wanna do it.. and boredom is what lead me to getting chubby in the first place. But thankfully I ended up stumbling across a few Calisthenics videos, I saw skilled athletes performing different variations of moves such as Planche, V-sit, one arm handstands, and what had me absolutely hooked was watching a particular athlete muscle up and jump on top of the bar... From that moment I needed to learn. It was a MUST to reach that level, I was hungry for it and in that instant I found my life's passion. The downside.. I was week, heavier than I used to be, and had to start off with small progressions that bored me... So, I applied what I knew but also researched for more! And I just so happened to stumble across this legendary program that made a significant impact for me personally.. as well as thousands of other athletes all around the world. Through (The Ultimate Guide To Calisthenics) it taught me through physical exercise, that all our limitations we place in our mind.. don’t actually exist. What I thought would take me two years to build the strength for I found myself gaining not only the strength but balance and endurance necessary in only six months.. You remember that (Muscle up and jumping on top of the bar) I was talking about? Ya, I had gotten that down in a matter of about 3 and a half months thanks to the quality and efficiency that was delivered to me.. Shortly after I found myself competing in street workout competitions and within my first year of Calisthenics placed 2nd in all of Texas.. now sure that might not sound like a big deal to you but keep in mind, I was within my first year of training calisthenics and relatively new to the freestyle aspect of calisthenics also known as “street workout”. I’m not guaranteeing you’ll have the same quick results as I did, but if this program taught me anything it’s that limitations only exist in the mind, but with imagination.. the possibilities are limitless. Of course with the action applied along side your attitude. I really don’t want to imagine where I would be without Calisthenics.. continuing my situation of not opening my eyes to my health.. would have lead to much further consequences later on down the road.. and worse than that? I wouldn’t have pursued my life's passion and found my calling.. nor would I have been able to share and help anyone else potentially find theres.. Like I said.. I can’t guarantee you anything. But it would be selfish of me not to share this valuable knowledge along with others and share my story to inspire those that may feel lost or even embarrassed because I know I was.. whether you desire to get in better shape, become stronger, lose fat, build lean muscle, develop a strong mind, or pursue whatever your personal fitness goals may be.. ❗️FREE Resistance Band Workout❗️ A lot of athletes use Resistance Bands for lower body training however, they can be used in a lot of different ways. In this video, we show you the 3 best upper body exercises to use with resistance bands. This will help all athletes if they are trying to increase their bench press or have a more athletic upper body. The breakdown of each resistance band exercise (sets and reps included): ✅ Around The World | 2 Sets x 10 Reps How To Perform: You will start off in a pushup position with the resistance bands around your wrists. Next, you will spread your right arm out to the right to create resistance on the band. You will then stable yourself and move your left hand to your right hand. Make sure to keep your feet in the same spot so you will start to go around in a circle. You will repeat this until you do a full 360 degrees (one full circle = one rep). Once you are back in the sport that you started you will go back the other way. ✅ Diamond Super Set | 2 Sets x 10 Reps How To Perform: You will start in a push-up form with your hands next to each other making a diamond shape (thumbs touching each other, as well as your index fingers), have the Resistance Bands around your wrists. You will go down like a normal push up although when you down you will spring yourself up and on your way up, lift your hands off the ground and spread them out to shoulder length. Next, you will move your hands back to the center (diamond position) and repeat. You will do this for ✅ Around The World Diamond Super Set | 1 Sets x 6 Reps How To Perform: You will combine these two previous exercises together. When you are going around the world you will move your hands to a diamond then push up and spread your hands apart. You will do this for a full 360 degrees then back. ❗️In this video, I breakdown how to track and measure an exercise to help athletes from all ages become more competitive and have fun with training. ⚽️⚾️ We break down how you can compete with doing push-ups. How fast you can do a single push up, 3 push-ups or 5 push-ups in a row. There is a lot of exercises that you can track to help in making working out fun. We also go over balance work, if you stand on one leg how many times do you touch the ground if a friend or teammate is tapping your shoulder, arm, back. Then we go to the more advanced workouts such as Bench Press and Squat. Now we go over when to start and stop when tracking a bench press. For squats, we give you 3 different ways to track and measure the exercise. An Eccentric Squat is when you go down slowly such as counting to 5 then you should be parallel to the ground while a Concentric squat is when you are going up slowly. At the end of the 5 count, you will go from parallel to standing straight up. This young man's shoulder has been dislocated 4 TIMES in a span of 2 years first incident was during a basketball game. He tore his labrum (cartilage that protects the shoulder) probably on the 3rd or 4th time and needed to undergo surgery. SHOULDER DISLOCATIONS Shoulder dislocations happen when your shoulder muscles are unable to withstand strong forces, causing the humerus (arm bone) to pop out of its socket Once your shoulder dislocates, there is a possibility to have it dislocated for a second or third time because of shoulder laxity. REPEATED SHOULDER DISLOCATIONS can tear your LABRUM, that's why it's necessary to undergo shoulder rehab to "strengthen" it. . There are no shortcuts, no magic pills or program to fix your problems. 5 Easy Resistance Band Exercises to Build Muscle and Strength The general school of thought is that if you want to build muscle and strength, you need to use a lot of weight like that available when using dumbbells, barbells or weight machines. The truth is that you can get just as good of a workout and build muscle and strength using resistance and your own body. Not only does this mean that you don’t have to spend a lot of money by joining your local gym or invest in expensive equipment that may gather dust later on, but you can also do these exercises just about anywhere, including at work or in your home. For these five exercises, all you need is a quality resistance band. The style doesn’t matter, so those with loped tubing on the ends will work just as well as ones that come with handles at either end. You may even want to invest in a couple of different resistance bands, with one having a little more give for when you are just starting out and another one that requires a little more effort to stretch. 1 – Squat to Press Stand on the center of the band with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding the handles in each hand. Bend your knees and hinge through your hips to move into a deep squat. Raise up and turn your palms away from your body as you extend your arms overhead. Return to the starting position and repeat the movement. 2 – Reverse Lunge to Curl Begin in an upright standing position. Take one big step back with one leg, and step on the center of the tubing with your front foot. Hold the handles of the tubing in each hand. Lower your back knee to the ground. As you raise up, curl your arms to bring your hands to your shoulders. Return to the starting position and repeat the movement on the opposite side. 3 – Row to Tricep Extension Stand on the center of the resistant tubing with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding a handle in each hand. Bend your knees slightly and hinge through your hips. Tighten your core, and then pull your arms back in a rowing motion, bringing the tubing handles to chest-height. Lower your arms back down, and then extend your arms straight back to slightly past your hips for the tricep extension. Return to the starting position and repeat the sequence of movements. 4 – Two-way Tubing Exercise Begin in an upright standing position with your feet shoulder-width apart. Anchor one end of the tubing under your feet and hold the handle of the other end in one hand. Keeping your arm straight, extend your arm out to the side. Lower your arm down and extend your arm out front. Return to the starting position and repeat the sequence of movements on the opposite side. 5 – Side Lunge to Woodchop Stand with your feet wider than shoulder-width apart. Step onto the center of the tubing with one foot and hold the handles in both hands. Bend your knee to lower yourself into a side lunge position. Tighten your core, and then pull the bands up over your opposite shoulder. Return to the starting position and repeat the movement on the opposite side. Start with one set of 5 repetitions on each side. The resistance is light. To make these exercises more intense, you can add more sets or repetitions. You can also use stringer resistance bands. No matter where you are ―even when you are traveling ― you can do any one of these five exercises, or all of them, and increase your strength and muscle tone without digging too deep into your wallet.
