There are always little changes that you can make that will make a big difference.⁣ ⁣ I want you ladies to think about your health and fitness routine and consider the following questions:⁣ ✅ Could you increase the intensity of your workouts? My #BBG program is designed to challenge you, even when you become stronger, but if you need an extra challenge, think about whether you could add heavier weights or more reps to your workout.⁣ ✅ Do you get enough sleep? Sleep is so important for muscle recovery and overall well-being. I know it’s hard for many of us, but aiming to get 7-8 hours of sleep each night can make a big difference to your progress.⁣ ✅ Are you eating a balanced and nutritious diet? You need to give your body enough fuel to keep up with your training and see real progress. If you’re lacking in energy you may need to think about the food that you eat and considering adding more nutrition, it’s important to have a balance of protein, carbs, and fresh fruit and vegetables. ⁣ ✅ Could you add an extra challenge or quick workout to your week? If you feel that you have extra energy after your BBG resistance or LISS workouts, choose a challenge or quick workout to do on @SWEAT.⁣ ✅ Are you giving your body time to rest? It’s so important to make sure that we give our muscles and immune system time to rest and recover after training. The world is on fire right now and it’s more important than ever to look after yourself. The outbreak of COVID-19 is unprecedented. With gyms closing around the world, I’ve been working out a way that you can stay on track with your fitness and continue to stay healthy. You might find the coronavirus outbreak to be pretty stressful. Fear and anxiety are perfectly normal but can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions. Managing stress will make you, the people you care about, and your community stronger. Here are some things you can do to support yourself: Take breaks from watching, reading, or listening to news stories. This includes taking a break from social media. Take care of your body. Take deep breaths, stretch, or meditate. Try to eat healthy, well-balanced meals, exercise regularly, get plenty of sleep, and avoid drugs and alcohol. Make time to unwind. Try to do some other activities you enjoy, like reading, watching Netflix, journaling or spending time with animals. Connect with others. Talk with people you trust about your concerns and how you are feeling. Check-in with your friends and family so you can support each other through this! Call your healthcare provider if stress gets in the way of your daily activities for several days in a row. I’ve added home workouts to my plans so you can stay on track and maintain some structure and routine during these uncertain times. Look after yourself and others!

And the 5 AM clubs I joined, OMG, it made me cling to my bed more than ever I wanted to. But did waking up late, made my days better? Well, nope. 🤷‍♀️ In fact, I had to rush everything up in the morning with this incomplete, confused or drowsy feeling within me, as normally I never had enough time for anything I wanted to do. Until one day, after years of research in cognitive science, I found out that the #1 reason why waking up late doesn’t make us feel confident or inherently energetic is… We still carry the ‘ingrained mentality’ of stone age hunter-gatherers who used to wake up early in search of food. In fact, our ‘circadian rhythm’ (a biological process that regulates our sleep-wake cycle) is set millions of years back by our ancestors who were early risers. And breaking that rhythm, as studies point out, can affect both our brain and body - leading to weight gain, impulsivity, slower thinking & other problems.‍♀️ No wonder why the world’s top 1% achievers are early risers and endorse it too :) But breaking the age of old habit of waking up late, can be a tough task unless you don’t follow a proven system to make it your new habit and stick to it forever.
