Hello there. My name is Jadee Gimenez from Edmonton, Alberta Canada but originally from the Philippines. My husband Gary and I have 4 beautiful children; Emir , our twin girls Eunice and Elijah and our youngest Maia. We previously worked in Dubai, UAE as a Sales Associate and Restaurant Manager (Gary) for over 5 years, yet our salary was not enough to save for our future. In 2008, with prayers and God's guidance Gary had the chance to work here in Canada as a temporary foreign worker. In 2012 Emir and I arrived in Canada as well, and in the same year I gave birth to our twins. Life in Canada is expensive especially with only one working in the family, so I had to find a job even after 6 months from childbirth. For the past 8 years I have been working double jobs in customer service and health care facility. It's hard to juggle between family and career. In 2018 we tried put up our own restaurant. It was good, it sustained our daily needs but our time with our kids was compromised because we need to be in the restaurant most of the time. We then sold it later on because it was not the right fit for us. In 2019, I saw an advertisement on social media that I could relate to just like you. I watched the complimentary information webinar on how to become a digital business owner. I was so amazed that thousands of people are now going to digital business, and I knew then that this was what I was looking for. It gave me more time with my family while running a business in the background and seeing my self to staying at home in early age. With 4 young kids this venture supplemented our needs, and we are also able to help our extended family back home. I was full of doubt at first too but check it out. You got nothing to lose.
